Seriously people, I'm not that interesting. Just move on to the next page!

Michael Arbach

Hello! My name is Michael.

You probably knew that by now…
              – But my Friends call me Pickle. pickle

Fascinating Facts About Myself

Not Really… Your about to get very bored. lol.

I (Michael Arbach) grew up in the small rural town of Hoven, SD – living a simple, sheltered life amongst a population of less then 500 people. Small town life may be bland/boring to some, but we made the most of what we had, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t change a thing about growing up there. I graduated in a class of 16 from Hoven High School (Go Greyhounds!), and moved to Mitchell, SD to further my education. I chose Computer Systems Technology as my major and quickly realized how easy learning was for me if I was interested in the subject. I had plans to become a network administrator for a large company, but found one of my real passions in life when I took an intro to web programing class. After catching the design bug in Mitchell, I moved to Sioux Falls, SD where I found more passion in marketing and started my own marketing/design business. I love what I do for a living and wouldn’t trade it for anything – (not even retirement!). I consider myself to be kind, down to earth, chill, and a self-motivated hardworking person.

My Family Life

Family is very important to me, and I am very blessed to have two great parents – Kurt and Lori Ann. My folks are in Hoven, SD where my father works for AMPI, and my mother runs the town beauty salon. I have two wonderful sisters that were recently married, bestowing me with two new brother in-laws. Kacie married James Birkel whom live in Harrisburg, SD and Renae married Nick Hericks and they are in Rapid Valley, SD. The parakeet sitting on my shoulder can’t be left out, his name is Pentium 2.0.

My Business Life

I was endowed with an entrepreneurial spirit at a young age – I remember around the age of seven, setting up garage sales in front of my home trying to pawn off all my stuff (mostly Transformers, G.I. Joes, and Baseball Cards), collecting night crawlers for sale to local anglers, and even cleaning houses, all for a quick buck. I got my first job at the age of 13 helping my neighbor shingle houses, and at 14 I landed a job at the local grocery store that I kept until graduating from high school. I took a couple random jobs in my college years - washing dishes, working in 2 factories, and making pizza. It was in college when I decided I wanted to be my own boss and helped start a small LLC – Missouri Valley Outfitters (a Pheasant and Turkey Jerky business). After I received my degree in Computer Systems, I continued to build Missouri Valley Outfitters, and also took a starting position with Citibank as a service rep and quickly moved up to lending - selling Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit. After 2 years with Citibank, I decided I wanted to pursue an IT career and took a position at Quest Communications. While working at Quest, I continued my involvement with MVO, and took on another venture - starting a web development company: Pikit Productions. Needless to say I had a lot on my plate and made the decision to go full time with my own business, leaving Quest and closing the Missouri Valley Outfitters doors. I was officially my own boss, a starving self-employed designer, but none the less, I worked hard and loved what I did for a living. It didn’t take me long to figure out I needed to expand my range of services to stay afloat, so I buried my nose into every internet marketing book I could get my hands on, and found a real passion in advertising/marketing. I changed my business name to Timberland Media and started doing a lot of work with affiliate networks – making commissions on their offers by pushing traffic via a multitude of venues, mostly SEO from pages I designed and maintained. I taught myself almost everything I know in the design/marketing industries, thanks to a great mentor always pointing me in the right direction, sharing valuable information and literature. I feel I am well versed in these industries and over these past years, I have expanded my horizons with a broader range of services including Consulting, Creative Adverting and Brand Identity. I now have a parent company (Arbach Enterprises) for my subsidiary businesses consisting of websites and services rendered as multiple entities. I look forward to the future regardless of where it takes me, as long as I have my passion in these industries, I consider myself to be unstoppable.
