Auto Spam Guard is a facebook application I developed as a free service with intentions of gaining viral facebook traffic.

Services Performed:

Web Development - The front end development was pretty generic in looks, but the behind the scenes functionality is very in-depth. I modified a commonly used viral facebook script that uses the facebook API to force people to share the facebook page with friends before gaining access to the open source software. The application reached over 4 million “likes” so far thanks to the modified viral scripting a developed.

Marketing - Only one marketing technique was used for this project – VIRAL. I simply provided users with an incent of something every facebook user would want, and let the visitors promote it using the like button. After a large volume of traffic was flowing steadily, I modified the script to use a content gateway – requesting visitors fulfill an affiliate offer before unlocking the free software.
